In about ten hours from time of this writing, I will be giving a presentation to the Orange County, Florida Children’s Leadership Alliance. This is a body of government, nonprofit, faith-based, and private sector leaders who are working together to secure a brighter future for children in the county. Their meeting is devoted to pursuit of four objectives: (1) encourage relationships and communication with information sharing, (2) cross-sector partners working together, (3) leveraging relationships for blended funding opportunities, and (4) develop actionable steps.
My presentation is designed to share some data from prior research on family and child serving networks in Orange and Seminole counties, while prompting strategic thinking about how the Alliance members can develop a network governance structure that is both sustainable and effective at accomplishing their goals. Ultimately, they aim to ensure children’s issues are not neglected and take a higher priority in funding from multiple sources.

I welcome your thoughts and am happy to walk through this with any interested person or groups.
